ACT Prep
When you register for ACT Prep sessions with Above the Limit, you are hiring our ACT Team to assist your child and prepare them for the exam.
Students are encouraged to commit to 2-3 months or more of ACT Prep sessions to see significant increases in test scores.
Students will receive an individualized ACT plan to improve in the section(s) they want to improve.
Students may have more than one tutor to assist them.
All 1-on-1 sessions are scheduled at times convenient for the student and instructor and can be done virtually or in-center.
In-center Small Group ACT Prep courses are offered throughout the year.
We specialize in 1-on-1 ACT Prep Coaching.
Our data shows that 1-on-1 ACT Prep coaching sessions significantly increase students' confidence and scores.
Private ACT Prep Coaching is for students who want to deeply study all 4 parts of the ACT in pursuit of making great gains in his/her ACT composite score and/or specific subject on the ACT. Our expert ACT Coaches help students correct mistakes, improve pacing, and close skill gaps that are costing them points. Students take practice tests (timed and untimed) to master strategies that will help them reach their ACT goals.
This is a premium experience for your teen to become “scholarship-ready.”

We ask that all students purchase The Official ACT Prep Guide prior to beginning ACT Prep sessions.
ACT Course Options
Students should plan to take an ACT Prep Course at least 2-3 months before the ACT exam. This is the best practice to decrease test anxiety and stress. Students test much better when they feel confident & prepared.

Our office is located at:

1-on-1 sessions can be either in-center or virtual at the discretion of the student/parent.
Small group sessions are only offered in-center at our office in Lafayette, LA.
Weekend ACT Boot Camp sessions are currently offered in Lafayette and Lake Charles, LA. We would love to travel to your city to host sessions for groups of 8 or more.
Both in-center and virtual sessions allow students to work 1-on-1 with an expert tutor. We tutor students all across the US. -
Once your child is registered, you will receive a link to your Parent Portal.
Here, if you are enrolled in 1-on-1 sessions, you can search by month, day, time slot, and/or instructor to schedule your child’s sessions.
Students are automatically scheduled for small group and boot camp sessions once the registration fee is paid and you have chosen your date on the form. -

Payment plans are available, and online payments are accepted.
Sessions are prepaid to secure scheduled dates.
Payment must be received at least 24 hours before each session, or the session will be automatically canceled. -
Simply log in to your parent portal to cancel within 24 hours.
Your account will be charged for cancellations made less than 24 hours’ notice.

No, there is no contract. Families may discontinue services at any time with at least 24 hours’ notice.
Refunds are unavailable.
ACT Prep

Students should take the ACT no later than the summer after their 10th-grade year. We recommend students take the ACT after they have taken Algebra 1 and Geometry.
Reaching ACT goal scores early allows students to maximize college entry and scholarship opportunities. -
We strongly recommend taking an ACT Prep course before testing to:
